About Marnie

My name is Marnie and my mission is to help you UNITE your systems – ISO (9001, 14001, 45001), quality management, operational excellence, lean and Six Sigma for REAL improvement.

I know you want to get real VALUE for your efforts and I’m here to help you leverage the leanest and simplest methods to actually IMPROVE the quality of your products and services.

I’m committed to protecting the environment, and the interests of the community and society as a whole through strong ethical standards and social responsibility.

I started my career in the Detroit automotive manufacturing industry, working with small to medium size companies.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, several certifications through the American Society for Quality in management, auditing and metrology, and I have experience in operations, quality, purchasing, supply chain management and sales where I worked with a variety of manufacturers.  I even became part-owner of a flat rolled coil steel company.

I moved from Michigan to Tampa Bay Florida where I became a Six Sigma Black Belt and began a whole new chapter in my life as an ambassador of quality where I’ve been able to integrate traditional quality management with lean and Six Sigma to create comprehensive business management systems integrating environmental, health & safety and quality (EHSQ).

And as a member of US TAG to TC176, the group responsible for maintaining the international standard ISO9001, I continue to engage in the activities shaping the world of quality management and continual improvement.

Working extensively in lead-acid battery recycling has sparked a passion in me for the future of sustainable energy and environmental responsibility.  I’m also deeply committed to developing management systems within the recycling and sustainability sectors, using lean and simple methodologies to reduce waste and leverage resources.

Specialty sectors include Manufacturing, Lead-Acid Battery Recycling, Commercial Construction and Transportation & Logistics. I started my career in the Detroit automotive manufacturing industry, working with small to medium size companies, where I was lucky enough to fall into one great challenge after another.

In just a few years, I gained experience in operations, quality, purchasing, supply chain management and sales, where I worked with a variety of manufacturers – metal stamping, CNC machining, roll forming, heat treating, plating, e-coating, powder coating, assembly, injection molding, blow molding and plastic extrusion.  I eventually became part-owner of a flat rolled coil steel company. I moved from Michigan to Tampa Bay Florida area in 2008 where I became a Six Sigma Black Belt and began a whole new chapter in my life as a quality ambassador.

I’ve added to my experience 3PL Third Party Logistics, lead acid battery recycling and subcontracted procurement services where I’ve been able to integrate traditional quality management with lean and Six Sigma to create comprehensive business management systems which include environmental, health & safety and quality (EHSQ). My approach is no-nonsense and hands-on.

My workshops are all custom created to meet your needs and provide the value you’re looking for.  Whether it’s Corrective Action Training or 5S/6S, Lean and Six Sigma, you’ll get a fantastic learning experience.  But more than that, you and your team will get a chance to apply what you’ve learned.

My story is one of continual improvement. And I’m not done learning! My passion is quality. I love to talk about it, debate about it, teach about it and share experiences with other quality professionals who have a true understanding of the importance and real relevance of quality and how it has the ability to transform a company and its processes from mundane to world class.
